Twelve Quiet Frames<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A Year in Stillness<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This project documents a single landscape observed repeatedly across the course of one year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each month, I return to the same location and photograph one frame. The changes are often subtle: shifts in light, weather patterns, vegetation, and seasonal colour. Through this repetition, the series traces the slow temporal rhythms that shape landscapes over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While contemporary life is structured by fast-moving human systems, transport networks, consumption cycles, and global supply chains, ecological processes unfold at a different pace. Seasonal transitions, plant growth, and changing weather conditions form a quieter temporal framework that often goes unnoticed in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By revisiting the same view throughout the year, this project highlights the contrast between these temporalities and encourages closer attention to the environmental contexts that surround daily life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The series forms part of Borderless Roots<\/em>, an ongoing visual exploration of how environmental systems appear in everyday landscapes. Through photography and repeated observation, the project reflects on how seasonal change and environmental rhythms shape everyday landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This series documents the relationship between urban infrastructure, mobility, and emerging forms of ecological design within the city of London.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Stations, public spaces, and redevelopment sites reveal how contemporary cities are shaped by overlapping systems: transport networks, historic architecture, consumption patterns, and efforts to reintroduce biodiversity into the built environment. Living walls, urban wetlands, and water gardens appear alongside steel structures, transit corridors, and dense flows of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    These landscapes reflect broader shifts in urban planning and environmental governance, where cities are increasingly expected to support both human mobility and ecological resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Rather than focusing on iconic views, the photographs observe quieter moments of interaction between infrastructure and nature. In doing so, the series considers London as a dynamic urban ecosystem \u2014 a place where movement, history, and environmental renewal continuously reshape the relationship between people and the city they inhabit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Carried Places<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      This photographic series explores the quiet ways places remain with us after we leave them. Moving through parks, gardens, city edges, and moments of stillness within urban life, the project reflects on how certain landscapes become emotionally carried through memory and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Each image captures a fragment of atmosphere \u2014 light through trees, distant skylines, seasonal blooms, quiet pathways, and spaces of pause within the movement of the city. Together, these moments form a visual collection of places that linger beyond the moment they are seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Rather than documenting landmarks alone, Carried Places<\/em> focuses on the emotional resonance of everyday environments and the personal connections formed through observation. The series considers how landscapes can offer calm, familiarity, and reflection, becoming part of how we move through and remember the world around us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Through photography, the project invites viewers to reflect on the places they continue to carry with them long after they have gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
